This is our favorite part of summer: when the bounty of the garden starts rolling in along with a bounty of shoes from summer trips. This is a picture of our first harvest of tomatoes, potatoes, beans and basil: much better smelling and appropriate on our kitchen counter than the bounties of shoes we've been processing, but equally welcome.
